George holds an MA degree from the University of Ghana. He has undertaken professional training in communications at the Johns Hopkins University and the Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development in Pakistan. In a working career spanning over 25 years, George has provided training, capacity building, and technical assistance in BCC for RH and HIV/AIDS programs. Professionally, George has honed his skills in the practice of using Culturally Sensitive Approaches to catalyse social change. He has designed and delivered technical assistance services in strategic advocacy and social and behaviour change communication interventions targeting stakeholders in government , civil society organizations and communities both in Kenya and internationally. He has expertise in developing target audience-specific technical briefs and client oriented communication messages and materials as well as effective skills-building, training and facilitation skills. He is well versed in the application of communication theory and the use of SBCC principles and approaches to influence behaviour change at individual and societal levels and has worked on programmes that have challenged deep seated cultural norms and practices and realised tremendous success. such as an initiative was to promote the abandonment of female genital mutilation (FGM).
