Tatiana is a communication and development consultant with five years experience working with non-governmental and governmental organisations in Colombia. She has worked in programmes related to governance, transparency, citizen participation, and health. She has experience working in advocacy and awareness campaigns and design of communication strategies. Her main professional interest is the use of Information and Communication Technologies to foster social transformations and the possibilities of combining processes of communication with the use of tools like mobile SMS and social media. Former employers include Transparencia por Colombia, Transparency International chapter; the e-Government Office of Colombia and the Innovation Centre, an initiative of the ICT Ministry of Colombia and the United Nations Development Programme. Tatiana is a candidate to MSc in Communication for Development from University of Reading, United Kingdom, to be completed in September 2017; and holds a bachelors degree in Social Communication and Journalism.
